Our history

National Salvage Group (NSG) was formed in 1985. It later incorporated NASA to form National Salvage Association (NSA) and is a member network of the UK’s largest, most innovative and established salvage dismantling and recycling companies. The core business is the safe procurement, collection, storage, recycling and disposal of motor vehicle salvage. 

The beginning

Idea for NSG was formed by six likeminded dismantlers

Early growth

1985

NSG grew to sixteen members and were formed as an association

First contract

1985

NSG gets its first contract (Collect & Store Services). 40,000 vehicles processed annually. Office based in Cambridge.

Head office

1990

Head office opened in Darlington

Head office moves

1999

Head office moved to bigger premises in Darlington

NSA formed

2001

NSG and NASA combine to make NSA

20 years old

2005

NSG celebrates its 20 year anniversary
